A Brief Introduction of Tremie Pipes
Tremie Pipes are used to cast concrete and isolate it from water.
Sections of tremie pipes are connected with steel cable to reach a certain depth underground. Concrete is cast from the ground through the Concrete Tremie Pipe and delivered directly to the bottom of the borehole.
As the concrete fills the borehole, the Tremie Tube is gradually lifted and dismantled section by section until the concrete casting process is fully completed.
Tremie pipes and joints shall be well sealed, with secure connections that are easily dismantled, otherwise, the concrete may leak out, or be trapped inside the pipes, which will affect the efficiency and quality of casting. Therefore, the connection quality of the tremie pipes and the joints are key to the result of concrete casting.
