Tremie Pipes are used to cast concrete and isolate it from water.
Sections of tremie pipes are connected with steel cable to reach a certain depth underground. Concrete is cast from the ground through the tremie pipes, and the tremie pipes will be lifted up and removed one section after another in the process until the concrete is fully cast.
Tremie pipes and joints shall be well sealed, with secure connections that are easily dismantled, otherwise, the concrete may leak out, or be trapped inside the pipes, which will affect the efficiency and quality of casting. Therefore, the connection quality of the tremie pipes and the joints are key to the result of concrete casting.
Note: Make sure the tremie pipes pass a pressure test of 1.5Mpa after being connected before the casting operation at the jobsite.
