A milestone product of global piling machines, XCMG's XR800E assists Evergrande Super Headquarters with the world's first drill. The maximum drilling diameter is 4.6m (181in), the maximum drilling depth is 150m (492ft), it is a milestone product of the global pile driver, designed for the construction of ultra-deep, super-large diameter, hard rock pile foundations of large bridges such as cross-river and cross-sea projects. Besides its scale and status, the foundation construction also reflects the status and scale of Evergrande Center Project. In comparison to a general housing pile, the engineering pile is large in diameter and extremely deep, with the rock depth exceeding 40m (131ft), which is equivalent to 14 stories deep into the ground! With such a difficult pile diameter requirement, foundation construction has become a difficult problem, not to mention ensuring the verticality of the pile diameter. But for the world's largest tonnage rotary drilling rig, it's a close contest!
In order to drill through ultra-deep and super-strong rock condition, the power output torque of a regular rotary drilling rig is 120~400kN·m (88,440-294,800lb-ft), but the XCMG XR800E has a working torque of 792kN*m (583,700lf-ft), about twice as high as that of an ordinary rotary drilling rig. In this construction method, the drilling is graded, and step by step. The super powerful torque is like Popeye, and equip with roller bit bucket, the core of the hard rock can be directly removed in one step. The height of the core stone pier can be up to one person high, which greatly improves the efficiency of construction and further reduces construction time.
The construction of XCMG XR800E, compared with the traditional process operation method, reflects three characteristics.
