FSP-650 solar pile drivers helped build photovoltaic plants in Egypt to produce clean energy for 150,000 home
In recent years, the ratification by many African countries of the commitments to fight against climate change made in the recent COP21 in Paris, the high level of energy needs of all the countries on the continent, good wind and solar resources, and the setting up of renewable energy development programs in some countries, make Africa a market to be taken into account for the future development of renewable energy projects.
The renewable energy developer, ACCIONA Energía, has built three identical photovoltaic plants in a 50-50 alliance with its partner in the region Swicorp (Saudi Arabia). The project started in 2017 and got commissioned in October 2019, covering an area of 37.2 k㎡ . The total rated capacity is 150 megawatt (186 MW-peak) and the project represented a total investment of approximately 180 million US dollars. Located in the Benban complex created by the Egyptian Government in the region of Aswan.
It is expected to produce clean energy for 150,000 Egyptian households and avoid the emission of 297,000 metric tonnes of CO2 a year.
All the solar piles in this project during the foundation construction phase were driven by FSP-650 solar pile drivers. It is a multifunctional machine that can be customized for various needs. It’s optional with Rotary Drive + Auger Tool for Soft Soil Application or optional for Screw Piling, Pulling Piles, DTH Application (need to equip with air compressor).
Basic information:
