Though the weather is extremely cold, it can’t stop construct Zvezda Shipyard— a Russian national project.

The project is estimated to be completed in 7 months. There’ll be three different pile diameters— OD600mm (24in), 800mm (31in) and 1000mm (39in), in a total of nearly 4,000 piles. With full casing construction method, it requires the warp/weft deviation within 3cm (1.1in) and depth deviation within 5cm (1.9in), which poses great challenges to the precision of foundation equipment.

The rigs need to work continuously for 24 hours per day to catch up with the schedule. Though faced with strict conditions, XR360E and XR280E performed high-precision construction and stable operation with high-quality piles. 

Since the construction set on Sep. 28, 2021, the downtime of four rigs has never occurred.

The full-time operation and high efficiency were highly praised by Russian construction operators.

Actually, it’s not the first time for XCMG to get involved in Zvezda Shipyard. Early in the first phase of project, XCMG XR360E won the trust of customers with powerful torque and strong ability to drill hard rocks.

The first high-quality cooperation contributes to the second one, and fully upgraded rotary drilling rigs of E-series used are waiting for the fruit.
