Why Concrete Over-Pouring Is a $1M Problem on Piling Sites

Pour with precision, build with efficiency. Real-time detection of the clean-concrete interface — eliminate excessive over-pouring in pile and diaphragm wall construction.
The Hidden Costs of Over-Pouring
- Wasted concret- Contractors typically over-pour by 0.5–1.5 m per pile. On a single 1,500 mm-diameter pile, that's 3–8 m³ of concrete thrown away.
- Extra chipping labor- The contaminated pile head must be broken out and removed before the next construction stage, adding days of work and equipment cost.
-
Project-wide losses- Multiply the waste by hundreds of piles on one site, and over-pouring quietly eats a six-figure budget.
The FES COPD-1 fixes this. Three built-in sensors identify the clean-concrete interface the moment it reaches the design elevation, then trigger an audio and visual alarm — so your crew stops pouring at exactly the right point, every pile, every time.
HOW IT WORKS

Pressure Sensor
Measures the density of aggregate mixtures in real time

Electrode Plate
Detects the water-cement ratio to identify fresh concrete

Flow Stabilizer Vane
Monitors resistance values across different construction materials
How the Alarm Works:
Three Sensors, One Clear Answer
When the clean concrete rises to the preset elevation, the device triggers both an audio alarm and a tri-color visual warning light — instantly visible and audible to your site crew, even in noisy environments.

Specification of Concrete Over-Pouring Detector
The FES Concrete Over‑Pouring Detector (COPD) is an innovative solution for verifying whether the clean‑concrete interface has reached the designed elevation during concrete placement for foundations including bored piles and diaphragm walls. Deploying the FES COPD can deliver substantial concrete savings while guaranteeing foundation quality.
This unit features three built‑in sensors:
1.Pressure sensor for aggregate density measurement
2.Electrode plates for water‑cement ratio detection
3.Flow stabilizer vanes for detecting resistance from different materials
Both audio and visual alarms are activated automatically when concrete reaches the target design elevation.

All You Need to Know About FES Concrete Over-pouring Detector
It identifies the clean-concrete interface during pile or diaphragm wall concrete placement, so contractors know exactly when to stop pouring. This prevents both under-pouring (compromised pile head) and over-pouring (wasted concrete + extra chipping labor).
The device provides ±10 cm accuracy in clean-concrete interface detection, which is sufficient to keep the pile head over-pouring within 0.5–0.8 m — far below the industry default of 1.0–1.5 m.
The COPD-1 has been verified on piles from Ø800 mm to Ø2500 mm, including the Macao C390A Shipai Bay Light Rail Project (Ø2500 mm) and the Wuhan Metro Line 2 foundation pit (Ø800 mm with 20 m steel hangers).
Yes. The sensor is fully reusable. After concrete curing, simply extract it, rinse it with clean water, calibrate, and store for the next project. No consumables.
Host unit: −20°C to 60°C. Sensor: 0°C to 50°C. The device is engineered for year-round operation in most regions, including cold-climate sites.
Yes. FES provides full OEM/ODM customization including branding, packaging, sensor cable length, and software calibration for your specific pile geometry. MOQ is negotiable for distributors and large contractors.
